Low Cost Glasses is a UK-based eyewear brand built entirely for the digital shopper. With no physical stores, every part of the customer experience, from browsing to buying, happens online. Their promise is simple: stylish, good-quality frames at prices everyone can afford. In the competitive landscape of online eyewear, they stand out as a beacon of affordability and quality.

Over time, they had built a clean, easy-to-navigate website and a wide selection of frames. But in the competitive world of online eyewear, good UX and a large catalog alone weren’t enough.

Challenge

  • Low Cost Glasses had already built what many would call a solid online eyewear experience. A clean interface, affordable pricing, and a broad product catalog. But they weren’t content with “good enough.”
  • They knew that in a category where purchases depend heavily on how something looks and fits, even the best 2D try-ons couldn’t close the confidence gap. Subtle mismatches in frame color, size, or alignment left customers second-guessing, and this often led to drop-offs. For a brand that operates 100% online, this became a serious friction point. If shoppers couldn’t trust how the glasses would look or fit, they simply wouldn’t convert.

Solution
