Low Cost Glasses s a UK-based eyewear brand built entirely for the digital shopper. With no physical stores, every part of the customer experience, from browsing to buying, happens online. Their promise is simple: stylish, good-quality frames at prices everybody can afford. In the competitive landscape of online eyewear, they stand out as a beacon of affordability and quality.

Over time, they’ve built a clean, easy-to-navigate website and a wide selection of frames. But in the competitive world of online eyewear, good UX and a large catalog alone weren’t enough.

Challenge

  • Low Cost Glasses had already built a strong online eyewear experience  clean design, affordable pricing, and a wide range. But “good enough” wasn’t enough
  • In a category where looks and fit matters the most, even the best 2D try-ons couldn’t bridge the confidence gap. Subtle mismatches in size, color or alignment made customers hesitate, leading to drop-offs which became a serious friction point for a 100% online brand
  • The team at Low Cost Glasses didn’t see this as a problem, they saw it as an opportunity to go beyond static images and create an experience that felt as real and reassuring as trying on glasses in person

Solution

Low Cost Glasses partnered with GlamAR to roll out lifelike 3D virtual try-ons across their entire product range. Here’s what changed :
Detailed 3D assets
2D was replaced with rotatable, realistic 3D assets that matched true frame size, color, & texture
Realistic Virtual Try-ons
Customers could now see how frames looked on their face from multiple angles, just like in-store
Smooth product integration
